Also hes asleep now. So maybe just constipation after all. Any tips for constipation with a picky eater?

Constipation can cause abdominal pain. Increasing fiber and fluids should help. Fruits, veggies, and whole grains are good sources of fiber. With picky kids, it can be hard to figure out how to incorporate fiber-rich foods they'll eat.

Have you tried some juices with him?  Prune/Apple?  It may help.
