Pear allergy?

I tried giving my daughter pears and she got a rash on her back and chest. At her 6 month check up her doctor said to try again and the same thing happened. A pear allergy sounds really strange to me but has anyone else had this issue? I read something about it could be the brand of the food

It’s possible! I know someone who has a anaphylactic allergy to carrots and someone else red peppers. Personally I would not give pears again as allergic reactions can worsen every exposure. I would ask for allergy testing. It’s quite common that when a child has a food allergy that they are also allergic to a few more. Have some Benadryl on hand in case!

My son broke out into hives with Strawberries 😫 He loves them too! I’m praying he grows out of it! His hands got super hot, splotches on his chest, back of the head...it was awful! Was told to wait until he’s a year to try again. But definitely get Benadryl for just Incase! It’s the same dose as Tylenol.

I'm allergic to kiwi, ate them up until 16 and then bam I was allergic.
