How much for baby shower?

Ladies for those who plans their own baby shower or part of the team, how much are you planning to spend on it? Food and decor? I just got an estimate for $500 for food plus decor for 30 ppl. Is this reasonable? Sounds like I can buy my whole registry for these money heh.

This seems really high to me. Are you throwing it yourself or on the team? Maybe see if a few close friends/relatives or other people throwing the shower will make a couple finger foods each. Decorations no more than 100. The cake depends on who you want to use. We have a grocery store that actually does a reallllly good job on cakes, so we will use them and spend 20-30. I’m using amazon for ordering decorations.

I think mine is going to be around $600ish for 25 people. The bulk of that is for food and desserts

I’m spending so much on my baby shower it’s ridiculous. I would rather not have one but my bf insists on having it. Just for the taco man it’s $700! The venue was $200 as excited as I am I just want it to be over with but I still have u til I’m 38 weeks to have it

My parents threw mine for my first at a restaurant and it cost significantly more than that. So I say if it’s something you can afford go for it but no one should go broke over a shower.

It honestly depends on how much you want to spend. I know people who have done it for pennies and others who have gone all out.

$100 for food my mother in laws cooked
$150 for the cake
$200 decorations and games 
My mom paid for majority of it but my mother in laws helped out as well. We didn’t have to pay for anything. I would see if people could help split it if your friends/family are helping you plan it.

My shower has turned into a circus, thankfully I'm not throwing it myself. Our parents have spent 300 for the venue, 500 for decorations and favors another 300 on food all for 50 people. It's insane to me
