You know that bleach mark you get on underwear from a period mess? It’s like a light brown like the colour has been bleached out ,the mark especially in black underwear I advise to not use actual pure bleach which will worsen the stain which I’ve met people who actually done that. If you desire a more natural safer alternative, I recommend putting eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil on the period stains and your usual stain remover powder you usually use. In the past I just used the stain removal and nothing else and the stains still stayed. But once used the two oils it instantly disappeared and left no marks.

Now you won’t get an intense oil smell because it’s just on a small amount of clothing, the smell is quite faint.

You can also soak the underwear and put it in warm water with a the oil on the stains, and just enough water to cover the underwear. But a quicker option that personally works for me is to apply it on the physical stain. (this can work on other clothes too).

I know you can rub stain remover powder or liquid in this as well but I found the oils way more affective and quicker if your in a rush. I use oils like this in some situations when I don’t have the actual stain remover product or the product has material that’s harmful to the environment , I live in Australia and eucalyptus and tea tree oil is convenient and comes in larger portions (sorry if this stuff is not available in your country) and you only have to use a small amount of oil compared to the product.a couple of drops covering the mark, but I usually drown my underwear in oil lol. But if your also interested in the zero waste movement or just more natural stuff I recommend this.

This would avoid buying new underwear constantly, ruining your favourite pair, saves money.

I decided to share how I wash my bloody stains because I know so many people with stains like this and are often embarrassed by it, and thought it would help to pass on my knowledge.

BTW my dad taught me this method and I’m very happy to have learnt it.
