Guys and BMW's?

Is this just a UK thing? But why, when talking to guys, do they brag massively about driving a BMW? Like idc I'm not a fan of BMW's on the best of days (except the classic ones). But is it a way of impressing girls or something??

Here in Finland we call BMWs "the extra penis" 😂 our stereotype is that all those men who drive that car have small penises and they need a BMW to fix that 🙈

Lots of people like to brag about their car. I like to brag about my Elantra back to them I'm like look at my gas mileage! 😂 
I don't like expensive cars though 🙅 they're all a waste of money to me. I'd rather go on a nice vacation than have a nice car. They say money can buy you happiness, if you use it on experiences like traveling, instead of material items.

It seems like it is but it isnt working, i used to like bmw's but i also worked in a petrol station and the amount of rude, arrogant people who were up their own ass (almost all owned a bmw) has got me to dislike bmw's, i know its not the cars fault but ive started to have like a stereotype for them. 
I like Audis now, they seemed to be the most friendliest. 
My partner agrees with me too as he worked at the petrol station also, its like you know what type of person they are just by the car they have.
