No I don’t think it’s wrong. I would talk to her though. Let her know you also like the guy and you think he likes you too and would like to see where things led for you two. That way she sees your not just going behind her back about this.

No it’s not wrong. If he doesn’t have feelings for your friend, there’s nothing she can do about that. If she’s a true friend she also wouldn’t let that hold her back from being okay with you two dating. Sure, it might hurt for her, but she has no control over who he gets feelings for. My ex was my best friends crush and her current boyfriend is my old crush from years ago. If both of you can be adults about the situation, everything should be fine.

My best friend and I liked the same guy, she even called 'dibs'. But I had this strange feeling in my gut telling me to message him so I did. I told her straight away and she was a little upset at first but seemed to get over it but ever since then we started drifting apart and now I havent seen her in over 4 years and hardly ever talk. Me and this guy on the otherhand have now been together for 7 years and have 3 kids... So I think you need to ask yourself if this guy is worth potentially losing your friend and talk to her about it.
