How do you “not try” anymore? 😕💔

Ladies that have been or had been trying for a long time and got exhausted by it all, how did you stop trying? I know SO and I are both in major need of a break, but I literally don’t know how to “not try” anymore...I feel like no matter what, when my fertile window hits I’ll be all over it again. How do you turn it off??? HELP PLEASE!

I have never been successful finding a way to turn it off so I'm not helpful at all.  I have had a few cycles where I'm like "oh yeah I'm doing so great being chill. I'm just going to enjoy my life and not think about all that. It will be so nice to not feel the need to check cm and pee on sticks." Then like 2 days later I'm in the bathroom and like "I'll just check my cm really quick. Ya know, for science. Totally not going down the TTC rabbit hole!" And then I'm like "oh hey that's EWCM. I should just do an OPK. Ya know, also for science!" Which leads to "that OPK is so close to positive. Definitely should check it again later. The things we do for science!" And then the next thing I know I'm obsessing over how I need to have sex for good timing because the OPK was positive on the recheck and I'm going 10 kinds of crazy. So yeah. Total failure at the turning off TTC brain.

Me and husband were trying for a year and it got to the point where I felt defeated. I still keep track of my cycle but not my ovulation days. I just started to focus on others going on in life and set goals for things I wanted to get done. For example I rearranged my kitchen and repainted the bathroom. Simple things like that keep me busy. After about two months me and husband decided to take a little weekend get away to relax and before I knew it I found out I was pregnant. Don’t stress it makes a huge difference!

I don’t know how people do it and just turn it off. Not in my type A personality but wish I could have tried!🤷‍♀️

I started focusing on my marriage and myself. We went on more dates. I couldn’t completely stop as I still checked my cervix when I thought I might be ovulating and I still had sex every day in the fertile window. I ended up pregnant that month though. Mostly I just didn’t stress.

This cycle I said no more testing but I’m checking ovulation.. haven’t baby dance still but I’m trying not to stress about it .. I can be a drill Sargent 😂.. but this week I’m trying my best keep calm
