Mamas! Advice?

Question

My little girl will be 6 months old next week. We woke up with a very running nose, she’s coughed about 4 times today as well, I haven’t checked her temp but she’s mostly very smiley like normal. She’s never been sick before so I don’t know if I should bring her in or not. What would y’all do?

My daughter has had cold after cold since mid March 🤦🏼‍♀️ we’ve gone for several deep suctioning treatments when she gets too congested but we’ve had 3 weeks now without an appointment (knock on wood) lol

I brought her in, and they might as well have laughed at me. Also they didn't offer any advice or suggestions, it was really frustrating. I know it wasn't a big deal to them, but she threw up everywhere multiple times from her congestion we guessed and it was super scary. After crowdsourcing what I could do to help her in this mom's Facebook group I'm in, I got some information that helped. First, I started using a cool mist humidifier. It's been humid and extra warm here, so the air being on has exacerbated her nasal issues. Then we used either the snotsucker or syringe bulb, but be careful to do it as slowly as you can because that also set off my girls gag reflex and made her sick. I also really liked the boogie wipes, saline drops by little remedies, and zarbee's makes a great soothing chest rub that is methyl free and safe for infants over 2 months. In addition, when I give her a bath I let the shower run hot and get steamy before I set up her tub so there is extra moisture in the air for her, and I placed a few towels under her mattress on one end to put it at a slight incline to help with drainage while she sleeps. The only reason to bring her in would be if she had a high fever. But even then the dr may tell you to wait. When my son had a cold and a fever we called the drs office and they said to only bring him in if the fever lasted more than 48 hours.  We used saline drops in his nose which helped with congestion and would use the nose Frieda, although he hated that haha. Hope it goes away quickly, colds are not fun to go through.

Well if it's a cold there's no reason to bring her in unless she's running a temp usually. When my daughter got a cold two months ago I had to let it just run its course. Mist spray from little remedies can help clear out the nose with a boogie sucker. Babu chest rub can help with any chest congestion if she gets that
