When did you do the gender/genetic blood test?

Ill be 10w4d at my next appointment and was told since I’m plus size with a higher BMI that I have to wait till 12 weeks. Anyone else?

Interesting... I got my tests done at 10 weeks with two different pregnancies and my doctors never mentioned I had to wait because of my BMI.

My doctor said that normally it can be done around 10weeks, but she told me if over 200lbs (which I am) they wait until 11weeks so that baby’s DNA has longer to show up in your blood, just to be safe that the tests won’t come back inaccurate. I got the Panorama test done today at 11w3d and I’m currently 254lbs, was 265lbs pre-pregnancy.

I got my blood work done at 12 weeks, just because I didn’t think about it. 😂 I just totally forgot to get it done, they said between 10-12 weeks, so I went after my “reminder” appointment (the midwife was like, “GO GET IT DONE”).

I’m 5’4 & 291lbs. Took the test (QNatal brand) at 12 weeks and it came back as low fetal fraction. Took it again at 16 weeks and everything’s good 🙌🏻

I had mine done at my 12 week appt. They didn’t mention anything about weight — sounded like that was the appt they did it at for everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️
