Diva Cup?

Question

I’m starting to think about using a diva cup for my period. 
    Can anybody who uses one tell me how it’s beneficial, how to use it, and if it’s better than using tampons/pads?
Btw i’m not an expert on periods so it would be very much appreciated if you could explain in depth 👏😊

I love my diva cup!! 
Obviously it’s great because you can cut down the amount of waste produced by period products every month and save money. It’s so convenient for me because I can put it in at the beginning of the day and not have to worry about it until bed. My period is on the light side though. 
Tips would be to practice with it first before going out with it. Sometimes it can be hard to make sure it doesn’t leak if you are new to putting it in. I fold my cup, insert it, and then spin it/tug it a little bit to make sure its opened up all the way. 
It might be smart as well to still use a pad (you can get reusable ones that are great) until you’re feeling confident with it.
