First Ultrasound???

My first appointment is June 7. When I called to schedule it they didn’t mention anything about an ultrasound but I’m really hoping they will just so it can all feel “real” to me. I’ll be 6w5d. 
My question is this: did anyone go in for their first appointment around 6w5d not expecting an ultrasound but they did one anyway?

I was told first ultrasound to confirm pregnancy is 7 wks-10wk time frame. I once went earlier than that and couldn’t hear the heartbeat. I think they try to delay so you can hear heartbeat

My OB won't do the first US until at least 9-10 weeks.

The first appointment is just a confirmation appoint. I don't know why folks call it 1st prenatal appt? My doctor had me pee in a cup, than she did blood work, checked my cervix (open or close), pushed down on my tummy for sore tender area's. She found a polyp and couldn't continue with my pap smear as she was afraid it would start bleeding.  I didn't get an ultrasound. I was praying for one but she waited another week or so before she did it. My 1st prenatal appt was May 20th that's when I got my first ultrasound and got to hear the heartbeat.  I was 7 weeks 2 days. My next ultrasound is in June I'll be 10 weeks and can't wait to see how big my peanuts gotten.

If you’re in the US, you should get a transvaginal ultrasound on your first appt. they call it a dating scan. 🤗

I was in Germany with my first and they wouldn’t see me until I hit 8 weeks but I did get a transvaginal ultrasound. They do things differently over there though I got an ultrasound every month it’s going to suck not being able to see this baby grow every month

In my first pregnancy my first appointment was a confirmation test. And they estimated like 6 weeks; so my first ultrasound was supposed to be 8 weeks and it turned it I was only 6weeks. They were very reserved at that ultrasound. My next was 8 weeks and then they were much more chatty and congratulatory
