Starting To Watch What I Eat...
I’ve always kinda said, “Who cares about weight? I’m gonna eat whatever I want.” but I’m starting varsity cross country this fall and I know this isn’t healthy.
So I’m making a new policy for myself. Instead of pigging out when I get home from school, I get one healthy snack... yogurt or peanut butter crackers or fruit. I get a snack in the evening, I’m aiming for some kind of fruit.
I’m cutting back on sugary drinks. I already don’t drink soda, but I’m now limiting myself to milk and water.
At meals, I eat until I’m full. No more, definitely no less. I try to keep it healthy, but if I see cake, I’m eating cake.
I’m also staring summer training. I run one day, about 3 miles, then alternate to weight lifting the next. I’ll start running every day as I get closer to preseason.
I don’t know if this will get me anywhere, but I’m feeling good about it! I’m hoping I may lose a little weight and gain a little muscle. I’m pretty happy with my weight, but there’s always room for improvement. I’m 5’5, 125 pounds.
