45,000 people die each year in America because they do not have health insurance or because they cannot afford their co-pays/deductibles. So messed up.

This is why we have hospitals. They’re not going to turn you away just bc you can’t afford it

In most instances yes. But going to the doctor over a hangnail, or thinking a facelift should be supported with taxpayer dollars is not a right. 
I also think there should be health advocates assigned to anyone who is ill. Unless people have family to question doctors or insist on care, many suffer needlessly because they aren't in good enough health to advocate for the care they need and deserve.

Yes. It should be a basic human right and there are assholes out there that just want money.  And it's not even about "having hospitals so they can't turn you away" like the other comments said.  
I have a daughter with diabetes and the price of insulin just keeps going up and up for no good reason. Plus we need to buy other things like the needles, test strips, lancets.. ect. 
IMO, I feel like the entire system is seriously fucked up. These companies charge SO MUCH MONEY for things people NEED to survive... but I can get birth control for $10. A vile of insulin is worth $25 but they're selling it for $150+. And don't even get me started on insurance companies...

Yes they do, unfortunately the quality of health care is another story though. We have free health care in my country for those who can't afford it, unfortunately it's pretty dismal for the majority. You wait like three months between sessions if you're seeing a state psychologist, the waiting list for operations is through the roof, etc.

In Ireland we have medical cards, which means that medical is free, hospitals, medication, doctor visits etc. It takes income into account. If you earn more you'll get a doctor visit card.  Which means you don't have to pay to see a doctor and you will only have to pay for the medication. The mind baffles that people in America are left in debt and or cant get treatment because of an insurance company doesn't wanna fork out. My husband is American and when my father in law moved over here he couldn't believe he was that lucky! He injured his neck and back serving in the navy and got bounced around every doctor and stupid test. When he got here he got his medical card and got fixed up in a little over a year,  no major bill. He actually cried that his right hand no longer shook because of the nerves. He could paint again

OMG! I read “do you believe healthcare is right?” and voted No. Sorry! I know from several friends who live in the States that it’s terrible 😕

That’s one of the many reasons we have hospitals run by the county. People don’t get turned away from these ERs.
