My boyfriend is very ADD and forgets everything. However, some promises/statements he makes he will not follow through on and it’s so unnecessary it’s funny and lame at the same time. Overall, he’s great now. Though his recent promises like “

1. “You can live in my second home. It doesn’t matter if I have roommates there.”

This was his response after I once asked him what if I lost everything and needed a home. Super early in the relationship but unnecessary to promise.

Later on he told me he only said that because the likelihood of it is low and that he would not actually allow that.

That’s really mean, I think.

2. “I’ll buy these tickets (worth $500/ticket) even if you’re not sure you want to go, hoping that you will go. If you don’t it’s no problem and I can sell them.”

I don’t care for expensive things but it is super lame to make an impulsive promise like that and never follow through. Seems manipulative.

3. “I had sex with my ex girlfriend every day.”

Early on I told him how sex is important to me and he made this comment. When we first started having sex, he literally tells me his sex drive is low and we started having sex at a frequency of 1-2x per week. We’ve talked about this and it got better. We have compromised to 3X/week.

4. “I don’t believe in prenups.”

Two weeks ago he said this but then on our recent date he said he does want a prenup lol. We’re both not even worth anything yet. I think he said this because he pays for all the dates, but that’s annoying. I do things too and I could potentially be worth more than him in the future.
