any tips?

So, I got a puppy, and let me tell you I did not know it was going to be this hard! Anyone have any tips on potty training, crate sleeping, etc. Anything helps!!

Your puppy is going to keep you on your feet for a few months lol. But you should get her used to her crate right away, she might cry at first but the sooner the better. And as for potty training I would take my pups out first thing in the morning to use the bathroom and if I see that they were about to go bathroom In the house, I would say no and take them outside so that they know they need to go outside. And also before bed take her out. Eventually she’ll get the hint that bathroom is outside. Every dog is different some catch on faster and some take a little more work but you’ll be surprised at how smart they can be!

Just be patience! Congratulate him when he does something good with treats! But most importantly be  kind and patience

Start how you intend to finish. If you don’t want dogs on furniture, in bed, in certain rooms, set those rules right now now matter how hard it is and you’ll be fine. I’ve got an Am Staff and a Great Dane x Mastiff and they wouldn’t dare set foot on the stair case or even think of getting on the couch. They eat in the same place every night, sleep in the same place every night, get their morning treat at the same place every morning. Consistency will definitely win the day! But they will sing you the song of their people for the first few nights! 😂

Just know that puppy blues are REAL, and it’ll be worth it! I wanted to give my dog back when she was a pup because I hated her so much. She was so hard to deal with (and I was so exhausted), but I’m glad my husband told me I was crazy- because I love the little sassy chick.
4 years later and I couldn’t imagine life without her.
Know the puppy phase goes by fast too, this won’t last 😂
A blanket over her crate was a big help!
