Can anyone tell me what this means?

Babys 8 weeks old will be 9 tomorrow. Had 2 month shots today and well im confused. What does the percetiles mean? Weight: 2nd. Height: 9th. They seem really really low...help...

These descriptions are correct above.  However one thing docs never look at or talk about is weight for length.  Its a different chart and will tell you how proportional your baby is and if they are under weight.  To be considered at risk of, or under weight they would need to be less than 2nd% weight for length.  Wt and length being pretty close, likely your baby is very proportional and just fine, just watch trends and ensure development is on track.

So at that age only 2% of babies weigh less than yours, and only 9% are shorter than your baby. The only thing that matters is that the ratio between the two is good. 
My baby is 90th for height but only 45th for weight, she’s tall and skinny, which means her ratio is only 15%
My dr/public health nurse told me not to be concerned as long as they’re growing, the only time to worry is if there is a sharp drop off in weight gain or height
Totally normal, you just have a little peanut!

It’s perfectly fine to be any percentile. It just means your baby is smaller than other babies. They only ever worry if your baby abruptly changes off his/her growth curve to a much higher or lower one. Then they’ll look into why.

From what I understand,  on a scale of 1-100 of normal babies, your baby would be 2nd in terms of weight (meaning he has a lower weight, 100 would be the highest). If he is eating, pooping and gaining weight overall I wouldn't be too worried. Even lower weight babies can be healthy.
