So one of my guy friends were texting back and forth or whatever, nothing special. When I asked him what he was doing, he replied with idk why but I really want to hug you right now ik it sounds weird and I’m gonna take a shower. So he answered my question, but the hugging part caught me off guard. He is never, NEVER, ever like that in person or text so I was taken off guard and just responded with ummm enjoy your shower.

BTW: we like each other, both of us know that, and are not dating (or even asked each other out)

What would you have said or done? I’m not one for people surrounding me in a stationary way, they have to be moving, and I’m not typically one for touching.
