Leakage or water?

I'm 39+5 I was laying in bed and turned felt leaking. I had to pee anyways so I get up to pee. There is no visible discharge or yellowing on my pad. Iay back down and she moved and I felt leaking again at the same time she moved. I'm having no contractions, there isn't much pressure anymore. I'm wondering what it is. My hubby works 3rd shift and has to be up n a few hours and rather not wake him unless I know

This happened to me when I was 40 and a half weeks. It was early in the morning and I got up to pee and felt a trickle but wasn't sure if it was pee or not. (I leaked urine a lot during pregnancy). I went back to bed and when I woke up I was a little wet, stood up and felt the trickle again. I couldn't see much color but I called the hospital where I would give birth and they told me to go there so they could test for amniotic fluid. I went in and it was my amniotic fluid so they wanted to keep me. Labour hadn't started at all so they let me go another 48 hours before having to induce me. There are two membranes and one of them was ruptured a bit and was slowly leaking. The fluid was pooling in my vagina when I'd lie down. So about 12 hours after they started the induction I had my sweet baby boy! So, if in doubt call your doctor/hospital/midwife

It happened to me too and it WAS my water. I had no clue. Thank God I had a check up 18 hours later, they sent me straight to L and D.
