What to buy a 1 year old?

My daughter turns 1 in July and im at a loss as to what to buy her.
I dont wanna gey something she wont like a few months down the road.

Musical instruments were a hit when my boy turned one. He still loves them and he turned 2 in march.  Stuff like a tambourine, maracas, xylophone. Then you can play music together.

Our son just turned one. His favorites - an electronic drum set thing and a ball that looks like it has little feelers (sold at Walmart). For when he’s older, he got some pretend play food items, and a 3 in 1 sports center. We got him a kitchen helper - it’s like a tower step stool type thing but enclosed so he doesn’t fall out. This way he can reach the counter and be up “helping” without me holding him or him pulling on my pants.

Keep it simple my go to every year is clothing they grow so fast I start getting ready for the next season and I’ll buy one toy for my son. His first year I got him clothes for the fall and winter and I got him a box that would light up count and sing abc’s plus some more activities. His second birthday same thing clothes for fall and winter and I got him a learning activity table. His birthday is July 3rd which is why I always get fall and winter clothing. Everyone always buys him a ton of toys especially my one sister who is his god mother so I never go crazy buying toys.

All of my kids loved their little toy grocery cart at that age, and it grew with them. They love to put their little treasures inside and push them around the house!
