Living costs in London?

Question

Hi everyone,
Our family (2 adults and 2 young kids) is looking at moving from Australia to London. If there is anyone from London that can give me an idea of living costs such as:
What are the cheaper suburbs?
Average rent for a 3bed 2bath house/apartment ect. ?
Childcare? 
Groceries? I've heard that meat is expensive. 
And any other advice would be very helpful.

3 bed 2 bath tiny terrace house within commuter distance 450k£ to buy...
1800-2000k a month to rent + bills + water 
This is for a barely double room, 2 tiny box rooms. 1 family bathroom and a tiny toilet closet downstairs 
Looking at more £ for a ‘good school’ area which you’ll have to live in to be in the catchment area for good schools. Otherwise you could end up with poorly educated kids. 
Plus extortionate train tickets on trains that are always delayed and late. You’ll be crammed like cattle on the trains front commuting hours
London is busy, overcrowded and generally full of rude people who won’t look you in the face or even acknowledge a polite hello 
A family of 4 to eat healthy meals for the week you are looking at £100 at Aldi £150+ at Sainsbury’s or more of you shop Waitrose or m and s
I mean...we moved from Aus to London. We have since left and moved to Ireland. 
Can I ask...why do you want to move?
