How long is too long? Read ‼️

Question

If you and your SO got into a pretty bad argument where you almost broke up but decided to work it out, how long would you wait to have a face to face conversation about what went wrong and how to fix it if you don’t live together ? 
And do you think waiting over a week when there has been ample opportunities to meet up okay?

My husband and I have always tried to avoid going to bed mad. That being said sometimes you need a night to cool off so you don't just start fighting again right away

if it was an almost break up fight, i think sometimes the dust can take longer to settle.
it’s taken me up to 3 weeks before to process through all of my emotions, analyze them, journal, talk to my support pillars, and then verbally communicate my thoughts.
it just depends.

I’d say a day or two. I find that day can be not so good as tensions are still high and it’s all very fresh. I personally find it better to take time to calm down and that way things can be discussed  calmly (or calmer than otherwise)
