Heartbroken 💔 all embryos are abnormal 2#IVF Retrieval update

I am heartbroken. We got yesterday the PGS results and all 4 frozen embryos are abnormal.

We are both 40 y/o and we have 3 y/o healty twins from our first

attempt.

In May we started (after trying

again) since January our first

. I got 14 eggs retrieved, 11 fertilised, 8 made it to day 2 and 4 made it to blastocyst (day 5/6/7) and were frozen and PGS tested. Non is normal... I am afraid we can’t produce any healthy embryos anymore as our mc last June was due to a chromosome abnormality too....

someone has experienced this and had any normal embryos in following cycles? I need to hear some successful stories 🙏🏻🌷

UPDATE 3rd June:

I went to the appointment trying not to have any expectations and knowing that with the results of our first cycle it could end up with no good news. My doctor has been talking with the genetics specialist and they both agree that they would go for another cycle as apparently there is no reason for that result, it might simply leads on statistics. For my age it would be expected to have 1/3 normal so next cycle hopefully we will get better results. As I am in day 3 of my cycle and they checked my basal state I was able to star a new stimulation process right away so here we go full of hopes and love 💕.

Update 11th June

I went today for my second appointment and they could see 18 follicles. They’ve mentioned that they will probably be able to retrieve more eggs this time. Tentative retrieval date Monday 17th. Let’s take it step by step and pray for a good cycle and a few normal embryos this time!

I just came out from the retrieval and they told me they could get 14 eggs. I will get the next call Wednesday and then again on Monday next week. Final PGS results will be 4th July. I am a bit nervous and a bit down as they told me this time they would probably get around 18 eggs but. I will just get some sleep now and hopefully I will feel much better when I wake up. 🙏🏻🌷
