Has anyone ever had twins but they missed it on the ultrasounds?

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone and when did you find out you did actually have twins?

My 1st ultrasound it was almost missed.  He got to the end and then I saw what looked like a second sac (I have 3 other kids so I kinda know what I'm looking at) and I was like "wait, go back! I saw something!" And it was there!  2!  But if I didn't say anything it would have been missed.

I went in at 6 weeks and there was only 1 sac. They wanted me to come back at 8 weeks (since the first ultrasound was so early) and when I went back there were 2 sacs.They think one could have been hiding behind the other.

Has anyone ever had twins but they missed it on the ultrasounds?
