Hey so my name is grace, im 18 years old, I've been struggling with mental illnesses ever since i was in middle school. Sometimes there are flashbacks and memories proving that even at the age of 4 or 5 I've dealt with these emotions. I recently (like as in 2 days ago) started using birth control to at first help with my period and cramps. But as i visited my first real adult lady doctor today i learned that it can also help with the hormonal side of it. Now because this is my first time on birth control pills i don't know what to expect when she says it helps with hormones. Does it mean that it lessens them? It helps me take control of my emotions a lot easier? Because im full of questions I'd like to see how birth control has affected or even helped you in any way lady's. So if you could comment how it has helped or affected you that'd be great, because im just a bundle of anxiety about it but at the same time im so full of questions
