Teaching/educating your kids

When did y’all start teaching y’all kids the alphabet, colors and shapes ? How old were they and how did you get them to sit down? My daughter will be 2 in August and I’m not working right now so I took her out of daycare so I just made a poster with shapes, numbers etc. but she don’t wanna sit and do them with me (which I expect to happen)
