Baby suddenly wants to be swaddled?
So when Leo was teeny tiny he liked being swaddled to sleep. We stopped swaddling him at 8 weeks when he started rolling. He started really sleeping well through the night once we stopped and he was never really swaddled for naps. Whenever I would try to swaddle him for naps he would lose it and we dealt with him busting out of his swaddles even before he started rolling, and zipper swaddles or Velcro swaddles infuriated him.
He went on a sleep strike a few weeks ago, day and night time. I figured it was the 4 month sleep regression.
My best friend is pregnant and I ordered a Copper Pearl swaddle to test out to see if I wanted to order her one for her new babe and I tested it on Leo. I was just seeing how good of a swaddle it was and it immediately knocked him out. Since then he wants to be swaddled for naps and even sometimes when he’s awake. I will NOT swaddle him at night because he can roll both directions and I would rather lose sleep. But I’m just confused why my guy who hated being swaddled before suddenly seems to need it. He is teething and has been fussy from that so I’m not sure if it’s just cozy or what. I’m just confused.
To reiterate, i never leave him alone swaddled since he can roll.
