Living with Herpes

I was diagnosed with Genital herpes today. I haven’t actually gotten a test yet but I went to the emergency room because I’m having an outbreak. Idk how to feel...I feel...numb. I’ve only had one partner but I know he’s had several others. I feel...idk. Not mad, but disappointed. And no he didn’t know he has it so I wasn’t “tricked” or anything. *sigh* I was prescribed valtrex of course but how long before it starts to clear up? I know it may be TMI but please anyone advise me on how you cope/deal with Herpes.
