Are you an organ donor? Explain why or why not in a comment below. Very curious.

Yes because I’m not going to use any of it after I pass so if I can provide healthy organs to those in need, I’d want that to happen

Absolutely. Because 1) I won’t need them and 2) organ donation saved my uncle’s life. There is absolutely no reason not to. You will not need them. You won’t know they are gone. You will save a life.

Nope,,, I use to be , but after my brother went into a coma and then 3 days later brain dead. We saw how organ hungry the hospital and doctors were. Then I realized they make money off of our organs while others suffer paying ot wont be on the list for not having that money.
To top it off one Doctor told me the process of removing your organs, ah hell nah.
Basically the keep you all hooked up to life support while they pull out each organ, untill your just a carcas... No thanks...

I am because if I don’t need them they could save a life.... especially a child life.... there’s all these myths about Doctors not trying as hard to “save” you because your an organ donor but that’s a load of BS.... unless for religious reasons I think everyone should be a donor.... the wait list would be so much shorter

I am currently but I plan on getting that changed as soon as I can. When I first got my license, I was young & just put yes because it just felt right & selfless but over the years, it’s 2 things that made me change my mind for good. 
1. My cousin had some neurological & seizure problems going on that landed her in a coma. No one said it was a possibility that she’d die, no one said she was hanging on by a thread or anything discouraging. But before we knew it, the doctors were asking if they could use her organs for people who needed it. So my grandma asked if she had died suddenly or if it was a high chance she wouldn’t survive. The doctor said no & no but she signed up as an organ donor to give to someone in need in times like this. My grandma was so pissed, she said “Yes, she is a donor but that’s only if she’s dead and can’t use them. SHE needs her organs NOW, so it don’t matter if someone else needs them. If you take them now while she has a high chance of living, you’ll kill her”. He said he understood & left her alone 😐 
2. I’m weird & read up all kinds of things. Human organ trafficking is one of them. Nancy Hughes initially started research on illegal darkweb selling & discovered the WHO organization (world health org) reported at least 10k kidneys that are illegally harvested or collected from a hospital they have alliances with & sold every year, more than 2 an hour even! They have suspicious cases where people were reported to have coincidental deaths where as autopsies reveals they’re missing major organs & were stitched back up as normal with blunt force trauma, bleeding out or something as cause of death. 
It’s all so odd & scary to me. And honestly, I want no part of it. I’m sorry & hate to do it but count me out. This world is crazy enough as is. And I’m not trying to be in a coma or anything & have people trying to collect my organs while I still have a chance of making it. And even if I don’t, I don’t want them rushing in to take them while my family is still grieving.

Yes for a couple reasons. 1) if I'm dead I don't need my organs so give them to someone who does. 2) my cousin passed away because he had horrible organ failure and they could find the organs he needed to save him so maybe my organs can save someone like him

Yeah. I consider it selfish to keep my organs to rot in my dead body instead of using them to save someone’s life. Unless you have a medical condition that prevents it, I believe everyone should be an organ donor. I don’t believe in mandatory organ donation (kind of goes against the bodily autonomy thing) but like...you’re dead.
