Membrane sweeping

I’m 39 weeks and 1 day, baby is large for ‘age’. They swept my membranes yesterday around 245-3pm. I was dilated to a 3, not sure on effacement, Dr didn’t say. I had some period like cramps afterwards. And here and there throughout the night and some today. When I would have my period it would always feel like I would need to have a BM be it very little or not at all which is what I’m experiencing now. No spotting that I’ve noticed but I’ve had some discharge that to me resembles a mucus plug, but in bits and pieces. I’m walking my butt off to try and start things. It’s been about 20 hours now since I’ve had my membranes swept. My question is: has anyone else not really had contractions after but the sweep still work? I realize they say 48 hours. Just would like piece of mind to know if it didn’t work or beginning to. Thanks in advance!
