This is my first baby and a lot of women talk about how they started to leak and produce milk or colostrum weeks before birth. I haven’t had so much as a drop, it even seems unbelievable that milk COULD come from my boobs at this point. I am 38 weeks and starting to worry...

Milk comes when your placenta detached from your uterus, it signals production.

No need to worry!!
Some women leak through out, some leak the odd time and some dont at all. Any of those you shouldnt worry about. It only matters when you've given birth. You'll have colostrum when your baby first feeds and your baby will help bring in your milk a few days after birth.

I have been leaking since about 14 or 15 weeks. I’m 20 weeks now.

I didn't leak during my first pregnancy but a little would come out if I squeezed my nipple. My milk ended up coming in less than 24hrs after having my son and my boobs were HUGE! I was also able to breastfeed until my son was two with no problems.
Now, same thing is happening in this pregnancy so I'm not concerned about it.

I didnt leak at all with my first until he was born and ended up over producing. Haven't yet with this one and due any day now. Dont worry

I did not get my milk in with my first until literally immediately after birth. It was like a matter of minutes. And with in 3 days hours I was engorged with enough milk to feed 3 babies lol

Don’t worry! Every one is different. My mom never leaked colostrum with any of us, but I did. For me it started at 20 weeks exactly & it’s been going on since. I already met with a breast feeding consultant & she said getting or not getting colostrum during pregnancy doesn’t determine how good your milk supply will be once the baby is here.

I'm pregnant with my third (38+4) and I've never leaked before having my kids. I nursed 6 months with my first and 15 months with my second. No issues with my supply at all
