Stopped BC

I stopped my BC back in August because I was have some really major side affects such as constant migraines and very increased weight gain and appetite. I haven't been late on a period yet but I was supposed to start my period yesterday and I still haven't gotten it. I always make sure to use a condom when having sex but I've been on BC since I was 13 for horrible cramping and bad PMS. I am cramping a bit now and I'm bloated but I haven't started bleeding yet.. I'm just a little nervous, and wondering if this is a common thing after stopping BC.
