Do you think Maverick will become super popular?

My partner and I like the name Maverick for its meaning (and the top gun reference 🙄) but he looked at the popularity projections and apparently in ten years it is predicted to be #3 on the list! We think it’s obviously because the new movie titled Top Gun: Maverick will come out next year. I don’t want our baby to have a super popular name... wish I could see into the future!

I feel like it’s already pretty popular. My nephew’s name is Maverik and we are from a very small town of less than 9,000 people and just in his grade alone there are 3 other Mavericks. I say if you love the name go for it because even the oddest names end up becoming popular years later
