How can I tell if my stitches are dissolved?

So I gave birth a week and a half ago and I got a second degree tear and two lacerations on either side of my labia. I'm not in a rush to shave down there but I am starting to feel a little icky and am wondering when I can shave again. I've looked down there with a mirror and I can see a purple line/scar on my perineum, but I can't tell if there's still stitches? I've never had stitches before so I don't know what to look for, I'd love if someone could help me out!
