Anyone else considering not getting the tdap shot??

I got it because it protects the baby until they are old enough to get it themselves. Why would you not protect your child from something that could seriously harm/kill them?

I got it because I work in a hospital. I'm constantly exposed to people & honestly the general public is gross. Also, my husband has told me many times how his coworkers come to work sick (fever, diarrhea, all of it) so as to not miss out on any money.  So we are definitely taking this precaution of protecting our child. He and my mom both got the vaccine with me!

I decided not to get it but that was my personal choice and decision since it has never actually been tested on pregnant women and my dr never pushed me to get it after I declined.

What would be the benefit of not getting it? There’s literally no reason not to get it and the health of your baby is a very important reason to get it. Dads should be vaccinated as well.

I just had mine today! This wasn’t even a thing in my last pregnancy. I was told babies can really suffer if they get it early on, so I didn’t want to take that risk.

I got it, my husband is getting it, my mother is getting it, my in-laws are getting it. Whooping cough (pertussis) is no joke and anything that could effect his respitory system (and therefor increase his chances of SIDS) is something I will take every measure to avoid.

Look up what happened to Natalie Norton’s son. I don’t think I need it again, since I’m still current, but I can’t see any reason why someone would not get it unless medically unable.

I was on the fence, then my midwife told me it's not a live virus and I decided to go for it.
