Fevering?

Question

My daughter is teething. Her fever has been going on for 3 days, I give her Tylenol and it brings her fever down a little. Her fever started around 101.2 . Yesterday it was down to 99.8 . Today it was back up to 101.3
All of these temps were taken in the morning. Im giving her appropriate dosage for her age and weight. (9 months, and 18-23 pounds. 21 lbs at the last docrors appointment)
She has some sick symptoms too: 
Sleepy/ lethargic 
Doesnt want solids too much
Taking 38 breaths per minute 
Really cranky and fights her sleep hard
Shakes her head a lot 
Pulls at the hair by her left ear
And has a small rash developing on her back. Should I take her in? I don't know how high a fever should be for teething babies at 9 months before I take her in.

I personally would take her in just to rule out a possible ear infection. I have 4 kids and don't rush them to the dr easily, but low grade fever for days can also be the sign of infection. Ear pulling could be teething bit could also be ear infection especially since it's a little early for molars (when their ears bother them)

Fever lasting several days is always cause for concern - especially combined with the other symptoms. I would definitely get her checked.

My daughter never had a fever with teething. I'd say she has an infection - especially if she is lethargic! That's a sign she needs to see a doctor

I actually read a post a while ago that this baby had a fever and was throwing up and had diarrhea and the mom just thought it was teething so she didn’t do anything right away. She finally took her baby in to find she had some sort of a stomach infection. Again, teething should only cause teeth. No of the symptoms your baby is having is actually from teething. My pediatrician literally tells us this every time we see him.

You need to take her to the doctor. My pediatrician had told us over and over again that teething ONLY causes teeth. He said your baby should not get a fever, runny nose, pull at ear, etc. he said a lot of people believe these are side effects of teething because people tell them they are but they are not and babies are sick and parents think it’s teething when it’s something else and don’t end up getting their baby treated. Your baby is fighting something if the fever is going on like that. Please take your baby to the doctor.

Try a bath or cool wash cloth to bring down the fever instead of so much tylonel. Some teethers in the fridge and freezer. My son always likes to chew on a slightly frozen wash cloth when teething. Give lots of fluids. If she keeps pulling at her ear see the doc to check for ear infection.

If you’re worried call the doctor, but provide fluids are ok with wet enough nappies, the fever doesn’t get much worse or doesn’t come down with paracetamol I wouldn’t stress too much and wouldn’t take to hospital unless something drastically changes. X
