Age difference opinions? 18 and 21 in a relationship

I am 18 and my bf is 21, my parents have a really big problem with it and say we are in different stages of life. Just wanted to know what you all think!

Okay honestly from the perspective of being 22- I don’t find 18/19 year olds attractive. They’re still immature and like kids and I can’t really relate to them. However, when I was 17/18 I was dating guys in their 20s too lol. Not to sound sexist but I think if the guy is older it’s not an issue- it’s only 3 years and guys really do take longer to mature. Just make sure you do have higher standards for him maturity wise than if you were dating someone your own age. Like he should be working or in school, mostly independent, etc

If its ur first serious bf.. then maybe ur parents are scared to see u growing up.. if ur bf loves u and cares for u and u feel the same.. then ur parents will just have to be more accepting of him.
