When I was 15 i had a thing with this guy for about 20 minutes but he then quickly changed his mind and dated my best friend (I didnt necessarily see anything for us in the future so I didn’t really care and we were kids!!) and they dated on and off for two years and a half but they would have problems and I always got in between them and i was who they’d both go to for advice. When she was 16 she cheated on him during the summer (this was a year and a bit into the relationship) and he broke it off but they never really ended. They would meet up to “talk” and they would end up having sex. This happened 3 times, and after a night out he would come running to her side to help her. He even tried to kiss me when we were drunk as shit and I stopped him because his ex was my best friend and he was so embarrassed he went home and then they had sex the next day.

I was so disappointed in the both of them. Her cheating on him and then managing to still lead him on and use him, but him also falling for the whole thing.

Anyways, she moved and she has a thing with this guy and she’s potential future with him like marriage and children etc (she’s 17 🙄). The guy is single here, and recently we found a common interest and he started to snap me and text me a lot in the past 3 days. He’s asked me to go on trips with him and told me to buy a ticket to a concert that he’s going to (he is personally digging the internet for a reseller). And today (out of nowhere) he replies to a snap of me I sent him in a conversation saying “you cute”.

What is that supposed to mean?! Does he see something I me, or is he just calling me cute simply because I was being stupid... I’m so confused and conflicted. I wouldn’t mind dating him, he’s so nice and respectful and just such a sweetheart. But he’s my best friends ex. But she has a guy. I don’t know!!! He wants me to go out partying this weekend and I needed a place to crash so he offered his place.

Dear lord someone help me out here.
