VBAC or Second C-Section?

I'm having my second son and due on Halloween! I had an emergency c section at 33 weeks with my first and I have the option to chose a vbac this time around. I'm nervous because I dont want to tear up my vagina, and not because I think I'll be loose or anything. I'm just terrified of ripping, and then after how awful it must feel. How would you even pee without being in so much pain? I remember pooping after my c section and it was so awful.  It would have to be so much worse after a vaginal delivery right? I've read that vbacs are a safer option tho. I'm still not decided. Has anyone chose to have a vbac and regretted it?

A c section is a major abdominal surgery...way more painful than any tear you’d get during a vaginal delivery

I haven't had a c-section before but I did have a vaginal birth with my little girl 3 years ago. It was traumatizing. I had a second degree tear it didn't just go down my into perineum I tore upwards too into my labia. My epidural had worn off long before she crowned & when I pushed her out I felt like I was being ripped apart. I had over a dozen stitches internal & external, it took my midwife about 20 minutes to sew me up. I felt every single stitch. It was excruciatingly painful. I had a horrible recovery too. Sorry if its TMI- My first bowel movement was 5 days later & that was as bad as birth. I popped about 7 stiches & had a gaping hole in my perineum. I had to go back to the hospital to have it cauterized with silver nitrate, omg that hurt like a bitch. 2 days later I was trying to sit on the floor with my baby a felt a rip, the silver nitrate had popped open & I had to go back again. It just wouldn't heal. I had to go back 6 separate times with 2-3 cauterizations each time. I also developed some granulated scar tissue which was really painful that they had to burn off. It took about 8 months (yes months) to fully recover & 11 before I could even have sex with my husband. It still isn't as comfortable as it used to be. I honestly didn't know if I would have another baby again bc my recovery was torture. My story isn't meant to scare you but just bc a woman has a perfect vaginal birth doesn't mean others do. Everyones birth experiences are different. My friends who have had both said they would take a c-section any day. I was offered a c-section this time around & plan on taking it. I know its major surgery but my delivery was no cakewalk. Do what you think is best for you! Good luck!

I had a planned c-section and it was fantastic. I definitely understand the desire to have a vaginal birth (it’s almost like a right of passage and natural). 
My recovery was great 👍🏻 and I told my doctor the next kid we’re doing another C-section 😂 heck my doctor was 16 weeks pregnant and said that she was having an elective c section 😂

My mom had a Vbacs with my brother and she’s vagina was ripped but they stitch her and she was ok
