Preeclampsia, how far along when diagnosed?

I’m self diagnosing here. Never had these awful headaches with my other two pregnancies

Labor & Delivery nurse here😊 you have to be further than 20 weeks along for it to be diagnosed as preeclampsia or gestational hypertension... otherwise they will diagnose you with just chronic hypertension!

I felt fine with my first too until it shot up and had protien in my urine at 26w4d. I was on bedrest for the weekend and induced on Monday when I was 37 weeks. The magnesium drip was miserable.

Har crazy headaches and migraines in my first pregnancy, no preeclampsia. Second pregnancy still crazy headaches, my doctor or midwife hasn’t mentioned preeclampsia.

Mine came on really suddenly very late in pregnancy.  My blood pressure was reasonable but creeping at one appointment, trace amount of protein in my urine and my platelets were a bit low. Then I went into labour (41+4) and my bp spiked so off to the hospital we went.

I felt regular when I was diagnosed with it the day I got an emergency c section. My baby was full term and I honestly felt fine aside from severe swelling in my legs and feet. I gained about 20 lbs of water weight in one week too. It was crazy.

I didn’t have headaches when I was diagnosed with it... just high blood pressure and present protein

Headaches can be normal. I’d ask the doctor. I got migraines with my first. I also got headaches for the first trimester with this one.

My preeclampsia came on very quickly at the end with my first. Like blood pressure was on the high end of normal one week the next I was on seizure watch it was so high. I delivered that day. 
My headaches have been awful too but my blood pressure was perfect at my last appointment. See your doctor if your concerned.
