What’s the likelihood of marrying your high school sweetheart?

It highly unlikely. A majority that do end up marrying their high school sweethearts end up divorced too unfortunately

High school love is like any other love. It can end but it can also last. So, people who are saying it doesn't last, all I want to know is why are you so sure that your " adult" love will last?

I did! I met my husband when I was 14 and he was 16. We just celebrated 13 years together! We’ve been married for coming up on 4 years, with 2 beautiful kids!
It can happen!

Well sure it’s possible. I don’t think it is likely though. I did. But I don’t expect high school relationships to turn out that way.

Its possible but most people get divorced. People just change so much naturally during the 20s

My parents met in high school. They didn’t marry until their kid-20s though. When you meet young, you have to be willing to grow into your adult selves together. The changes that happen from early 20s to mid 20s are amazing. One of the reasons my parents are still together is that they have themselves time to find themselves as adults and grow into their lives. Then they got married. They waited even longer to have kids.

My sister is the only one I know that ended up with her high school sweetheart. They’ve been together since she was 15 and he was 16. They’ve been married for 13 years and together for 22 years. They’ve only been with each other.

I married mine 8 years later. We dated from 15-19 and then split up dealt with some other trash relationships and realized we hadnt forgotten or gotten over each other. We got back together at 23 and have been married for the last 2 years and have 2 kids. 
It may not work right off, I really believe we needed the time to grow on our own to get past all the little high school crap.
