Did you ask them to try to find gender at 13 week US?

Question

Tomorrow I’m 13.3 and have the ultrasound that goes with the early genetic screen (not the NIPT) I didn’t even consider we may find out the gender, my midwife didn’t mention it, but she did ask if we wanted to find out at our 18 week one. I’ve seen some people finding out already at 13 weeks via ultrasound! Do you think I have a chance of finding out tomorrow? Will they do a crotch check even if they are there for the neck measurements or do I have to ask the person?

I found out mine is a boy and would be totally shocked if it’s wrong. It was fairly obvious that it’s a boy. I know girls can still be swollen, but I think it was pretty distinctive for mine. If for some reason I’m wrong, I’ll let y’all know during my anatomy scan but I’ve done enough comparing with ultrasounds to feel pretty confident about it. 🤷‍♀️

I had the sequential screen done yesterday, I’m 13 weeks 3 days, she took a peek and there was def a penis there, clear as day and she said she’d be shocked if this baby was a girl! We are planning on doing an early gender scan at 16 weeks anyways

Mine was so nice and asked if I wanted to peak. Baby wasn’t cooperative at all so we couldn’t. 😩

They’ll move the baby around and you may be able too. If you know what to look for you’ll see it. I seen my son that early. I’m going to look this time around as well.

I did. Just had my US yesterday and she said it at the very end but it was only a prediction. She said that it looked like a boy but we would know for sure in 8 weeks. I’m 13w1d. Comparing with other pictures of my friends, I feel confident that she might be right. This pic helped me confirm:

With my last pregnancy they didn’t even look down below and do a crotch shot. It was just a side view for the neck. I keep seeing everyone’s ultrasounds around 12/13 weeks too and they have one and it’s making me crazy haha. I have my ultrasound tomorrow, I’ll be 12w4d. Hoping they maybe look down there and I can at least get a quick peek. I’m too afraid to ask too haha.

The majority wouldn’t say even if they had a guess because it could be wrong. A girl make look swollen down there and be confused for a boy at that stage and a boy may get confused as a girl. So even if you do see, I would not count on it until your anatomy scan.
