What would you cook your SO for his/her birthday?

Looking for ideas! What's a meal you cook at home for special occasions?

Steak, salad, asparagus and sauteed mushrooms for something fancier. But i love pasta, so I make that too!

Whatever they enjoy most. Usually homemade sloppy Joe's, homemade baked mac and cheese and whatever favorite cake, either ice cream cake or dirt cake.

A good quality steak, pommes frites, and whiskey sauce. Never fails.

Sounds lame but meat loaf with mashed potatoes , gravy and corn on the cob with steamed broccoli . It’s his fav . 
Or bacon wrapped super slow cooked chicken and use the drippings for gravy . That one came in as a close second 😉

Their favorite of course. My husband would want a nice steak in the cast iron skillet with some garlic mashed potatoes and veggies

what's their favorite? do whatever that Is. or if their favorite is something like just a steak or baked fish look for a nice recipe to mix it up. I personally just take my husband out for his favorite but hes a chef and I know I cannot cook at the same level

For his birthday I either do steak or chicken Parm if I’m cooking

My husband doesn't like to make a big deal about his birthday but I still try to do something special (but small) for him.  I let him choose the dinner menu, whatever he wants to eat, and I'll make him a special dessert (cupcakes are his favorite).
One year I made grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon crumbles and diced tomatoes, and blueberry cupcakes.
