Can I spray paint a crib?

I’m been looking into painting my brown used crib white. I saw someone online use spray paint, with a really good non-toxic topcoat. Would that be okay? I’m only worry is the baby getting older and chewing on it and eating paint.

I love to repurpose things, but I honestly wouldn't recommend painting a crib. It is a pain in the butt to get everything covered, not have drips, and not miss spots. It seems like a good idea, but it honestly sucks!

I would not use spray paint but a crib safe paint. Lullaby brand is good option.

They have paint you specifically for that problem. For my daughters I bought regular spray paint and painted it 8 weeks before she was born. Never had a problem chewing though so I’d look for the paint.

I was looking into this to paint a wooden toy I got for my baby. It’s something she won’t use until she is walking. While looking into I saw alot of people have spray painted then used lots of non toxic topcoat but I am not sure how safe it is if they chew. I also read to make sure the pregnant person isn’t the one painting the fumes can be harmful so have partner or friend or whoever actually do the painting. I found wooden toy paints and non toxic safe paints but will need to be hand painted not sprayed.
