Thoughts on “cry it out” method?

The cry it out method can be great for some and terrible for others.. I have 3 kids and attempted it with them all, but only 1 could handle it. It worked wonders for him—he’d cry a few minutes and then was asleep all night.. My other two, just didn’t take to the stress of crying it out well.. we tried for a week and then I dropped it because it just got us no where but being exhausted, in tears, and bedtime became the most stressful part of the day. It doesn’t hurt to try it though and see if it works!

Depends, sometimes kids need to just cry. Try comforting them instead of being mad for embarrassing you. I get that it's embarrassing, but imagine how your child feels in the moment.

Depending in the age I agree with it .. my son is 1 year and 8 months and every night now he throws a fit for 30 mins. Theres nothing I can do and if I pick him up he freaks out more. So cry it out it is

My mom tried to do that with me and I climbed out of my crib, ran into her room and fell down on the bed and cracked my head open. Now I still have the scar😂

I think at 12 months it'll be good to try. Usually after the 3rd day you'll have a child sleeping in their own bed. It depends on the child but if you wanna take a shot then go ahead!
