Food covered clothing

How do you handle messy clothing from it being dirty all the way to it getting washed? I still haven’t found my stride and find myself throwing away perma-stained clothing here and there, and also have her just wearing clothes with stains on them, which I am fine with, but damn — this girl makes a mess out of everything and I’d love to keep her outfits somewhat clean looking! Can you be specific? For example, if you spray stain remover (one you’d recommend?), do you then hang it in the bathroom to dry before putting in the laundry basket? Do you wash immediately and just do 300 small loads of laundry a week? I just need to find a groove (and probably be less lazy)!
