Birth control delaying period?

I recently started taking birth control pills for the first time, I started my first pill on Saturday and was supposed to start my period the next day on Sunday. It’s now Thursday and I still have no sign of starting my period, my period is usually never this late, is this from me starting birth control? And is it okay?

starting and stopping birth control can both effect your period. Mine use to come at all odd times. Sometimes beginning of month, others in the middle, some at the end. Once I got on BC it regulated itself but it took a little bit.
