This was my wedding dress

So here’s the story on how my relationship ended ...

I met my now ex fiancé online he lived in Kansas and I lived in Minnesota. He stayed with me and my parents for a short time until he got apartment. When I wasn’t living with him I paid his rent since he didn’t have a job . I bought him a new car as well and he totaled it in 2 weeks. Everything was going great and so I moved in with him due to my living situation at my parents house . Then he slowly started being controlling and verbally abusive . I kinda threw it over my shoulder because I really loved this man . He then started calling me names and pushing me against the wall. Well in October was when I finally had it .. I woke up from a nap and asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said he didn’t know and I told him he gets to decide and he got pissed and started throwing pots and pans at me and then he pushed me against the door and chocked me . I then tried to go outside and call 911 but he followed me so I hung up and they called me back on a number that had the same area code as me . I got in my car locked the doors but slightly rolled down my window enough so they could hear what was happening . He said come on babe I’m sorry I hurt u and then I rolled up the window and told them where I was and then I called my dad . When the cops arrived they arrested him and my ex told the cop man I really love her and the cop said we don’t hit women we love . There was a domestic abuse no contact order put in place and he violated it twice . So he had three misdemeanors in his record . Me being stupid I asked the judge to remove it at first she said no and then December 31st it was finally removed and I went back to him . Everything was great up until 2 months ago when my family was in Chicago and we were alone . I got him from work and he was playing video games . I came home gave him a kiss as I normally do and then asked if it was okay if I went and cleaned my room he said no he wanted me to stay upstairs. My then best friend of over 15 years Thomas messaged me asking how I was and then my ex automatically thought I was cheating he went off the wall and started pushing me and throwing stuff at me he grabbed a knife and came at me I then went downstairs to my room and texted my dad telling him what was going on my dad said he would take care of it . I already knew he called the cops and so I tried to keep my ex calm so he wouldn’t hurt me even more and or run. He then tried to grab my phone to read he convo between my dad and I and I said no so again he chocked me . The cops parked at the end of my half a mile long driveway and walked . They said in situations like this they like to walk because they care hear and see things better plus they won’t know they are there so he can’t run. They then arrested him and he got a felony for domestic since this is the second time this has happened. Shortly after I thought I was pregnant and that scared the shit out of me just because of the situation. Thank God I’m not . But I’m really sad I have to say goodbye to my dress . 😩😭
