Naps in crib?

My 5 week old actually takes naps better/longer when I am not holding him...loves to be swaddled in his bassinet. I am wondering if there would be any point in sometimes letting him nap in his crib, too. I don’t plan on having him sleep there overnight until at least 6 months, but it might be nice to not have to tip toe around my bedroom when he is napping in the bassinet.

When did you start doing crib naps? Is there any point? Should we stick with having him nap in the bassinet?
