ππ»ββοΈMy first IUI in 2 days, please share your story with me
Hi ladies,
This is my very first post on Glow, and I decided to share my infertility journey with you girls and hopefully gain some knowledge about infertility and pregnancy.βΊοΈ
I am 26, hubby is 29. We have been TTC for our first kid for over 2 years and no BFP so far. π
We did all the exams my doctor suggested(HSG, Hormones, SHG, Semen Analysis). Nothing abnormal showed up so my doctor concludes that we have unexplained infertility issues.
After 8 unsuccessful clomid cycles(50mg for the first 3 cycles and 50/100/150/150/150mg for 5 cycles (all from CD3-7)).
We finally decided to skip the meaningless wait and jump into our first
.π₯³
My doctor put me on Clomid 150mg again and adds Estrdiol 2mg starting CD9.
I had my first ultrasound on CD11, there is one dominant follicle on my left side which is 15mm.
Doctor is pretty satisfied with it and will do our
IUI
on CD15 6/8 Saturday.
I will do my trigger shot π 24hrs before the procedure(tomorrow 6/7).
This is my story so far and I will be updating after the procedure, fingers crossed π€π» everything will go smoothly and I will get my first BFP ever.
Ladies please share your
IUI
stories here and keep each other company if your are on the same page with meπͺπΌ. Honestly I am feeling frustrated since we both want a baby πΆ so bad.
I donβt even know if I should keep being this excited because the success rate is only 15%, and I just canβt imagine the disappointment of this didnβt work out. On the other hand, I guess itβs much better than 0% for over 2 years right?π€¦π»ββοΈ
Baby dust to us all and wish all of you good luck π on whatever tasks you are trying to accomplish.
π€°π»TO BE CONTINUED......
UPDATE:

Just came back from my doctors office, everything went smoothly for us.
The entire process is painless, and I didnβt even experience any discomfort besides the speculum, that only last for 3 seconds.
Hubbyβs sperm quality is top notch. 49 millions pre-wash, and 18 millions post-wash.(doc said anything above 5 million is π)
He had me lay down on the table for 20 minutes before leaving the office.
Now the TWW officially started, I believe this is the hardest part of doing an IUI. Iβll try to be patient, and update you guys on this journey.
