Anyone have a bed in their nursery?

We live in a 2 bedroom condo, so naturally, the guest room will become the nursery. We’re trying to figure out bed or no bed. Hubby is a light sleeper and we would rather baby just go ahead and get used to the crib... but do I give up extra space in the nursery for a twin bed or walk across the hall for nursing.  I see pros and cons to both 🤪

Baby will be in our room for the first six months or so. If I have to wake up to feed baby and still work (after my maternity leave ends) then I’m not exactly sympathetic to baby waking up my husband too 😂 baby stays close to the bed I’m most comfortable sleeping in for my convenience 🤷‍♀️

I will have a daybed with a trundle in my nursery. I can sleep in there, should I ever need to. If we have visitors, I’ll move baby into my room with a bassinet for the night(s) they are here.

The American academy of pediatrics suggest room sharing for the first year. I breastfed so baby was in my room for the first year. If baby won’t be in your room...totally put a comfortable bed in baby’s room.

Im trying to figure this out... my mom lives out of state and wants to obviously visit. We also live in a 2 bed condo.
I kinda figure the baby will be in bassinet in our room the first few months so i kinda think we should keep our spare bed for a bit for visitors.

I haven’t set up the nursery yet but we’re in the same boat- we plan on leaving the bed (it’s 2 twins stacked in top of each other, something we got at ikea so it doesn’t take up a lot of space but we can unstack it so a couple could also stay with us). I imagine I’ll end up napping on it at some point and I don’t want to have to buy another bed once the kiddo is old enough!
